Greetings Students, Programs, & Internship Coordinators,
Courtyard Counseling Center, LLC (CCC) is actively looking to recruit 1 graduate student from a counseling master’s program for a Field/Internship 1 & 2 placement (300 hours each /600 hours total) for either of the following consecutive semesters:
- Summer 2025 & Fall 2025
- Fall 2025 & Spring 2026
We offer interns the opportunity to:
- Maintain their own caseload of individual clients.
- CCC sees children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and offers interns a variety of clients pursuant to their learning goals.
- CCC offers in-person and telehealth sessions using the Doxy.me platform.
- Learn about the business elements of working in a private group practice.
- Collaborate with other clinicians via group consultations and individual supervision. Dr. Tom Palmieri, EdD, NCC, LPC, LBS is the supervisor for this position.
- Join staff clinicians in a variety of projects related to scholarship, community outreach, and consulting.
- Obtain clinical experience while also getting compensated.
We ask applicants to submit:
- An unofficial copy of their graduate transcript.
- A current resume that includes their Practicum (100 hours total) placement.
- A copy of their program’s current internship manual/handbook.
- Contact information for their practicum site supervisor to serve as a reference.
- A letter of recommendation from a core faculty member of their program
- Willingness to provide their own laptop; CCC will provide all other supplies.
- A commitment to consecutive internships for the above semesters.
- Applicants looking for a singular semester placement will not be considered.
- Applicants looking for a Practicum placement will not be considered.
- Interns are expected to continue with existing clients during breaks between semesters for continuity of care. CCC pays interns accordingly, but programs decide whether hours between semesters count towards internship hours.
Compensation details are as follows:
- Interns are considered independent contractors for tax purposes.
- Interns are responsible for paying federal, state, and local taxes on all earned income, though CCC will train them on how to do so.
- Interns complete a W-9 at the start of the internship, and CCC provides a 1099 at the end of each tax year.
- Interns are responsible for consulting with their own tax professional regarding implications of this type of employment.
- Interns are paid a 45/55 fee split between the intern and CCC for all clinical hours.
- CCC sets a private rate of $50.00/clinical hour for clients with out-of-network insurances staff clinicians do not accept.
- Interns can bill clients with Cigna/Evernorth insurance via supervisory billing at reimbursement rates of $36.00 – $65.00.
- Interns may be asked to see clients demonstrating financial need at a lower sliding scale rate but are not obligated to see those clients.
- CCC has community partnerships that reimburse for services at higher rates, but CCC only assigns those clients to interns if professional staff are at capacity.
- Interns will not be paid for supervision or administrative hours, but some community partnerships pay for non-clinical hours.
- Interns will be paid bi-weekly.

Note that different helping professional master’s programs have different requirements for site supervisors. If your program requires that your site supervisor is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist that we are unable to meet that requirement at this time.
